Singabout
For adventurous people who want to immerse themselves in the world of food, music, wellness and the arts.
For some years I was singing in a community choir in Sydney. I loved the sense of community, the connection through song, the pure joy of letting go and being myself. I began singing during a period when my eldest son was sick and I was experiencing great stress. When I then lost my son to cystic fibrosis, it was singing that kept me going.
I arranged little concerts in refugee centres and charity fund raisers. The refugees loved the fact that we could sing songs from regions close to where they were from. They felt some connection with us and it opened our eyes to their situation.
I wanted to connect to a bigger world.
" I wanted to dance the dances, sing the songs, drink the wine and share the food with the locals... " - Jennifer RichardsonIf I felt that way, maybe others would too. So in 2004, when I was offered a villa in Tuscany where I could live this dream I put it out to musical directors and advertised for people to join. In just a few months we had 30 people sign up. Singabout was born. 10 years later the dream continues on and we continue to educate, excite, inspire and engage.
Jennifer is a yogi, a singer, a cook, a graphic designer, a technology nerd and a marketing and communications specialist.
Singabout recommends Readhead to help you find a great book to read on your holiday.
